Juliana, who graduated from Vilnius university in economics and has been working stably for many years at one of the largest banks in Lithuania, is distinguished by the fact that she was not at all interested in any other sport before Pole dance. It is true that she liked physical education classes at school, but like most students, the girl from Vilnius strongly disliked long-distance running. During her studies, she felt a passion for table tennis ("we were playing with a friend during some free subject lectures while Rammstein music was playing, and the folder on the computer was called - music of the tennis Goddesses...").
Juliana remembers that she was introduced to Pole dance by a friend, who at that time was attending a studio in Kaunas and constantly talked about how difficult, but very interesting, it is to do all kinds of figures, how the trainers help you to fold in such a way that you hardly understand how to unbend. Finally, curiosity overcame timidity and the girl decided to find a place to try Pole dance in Vilnius. "That's how at the end of April 2017, I showed up for training, and being fascinated by the newly discovered sport, I brought my friend to try the second or third lesson. The feelings, that dominated in the first year of pole dancing, can be described with two emoticons: Oh! and Wheeeeee! The first one is when you succeed in some unusual or new trick. The second one is when you have fun or simply make a fun movement. These two emoticons still accompany me even now... Of course, other more serious ones also contributed".
Having achieved impressive results in flexibility in less than two years, the girl inspires the admiration of those around her and is a living proof that if you work hard, consistently and without losing motivation, everything is possible, not only split, middle split, but also the unexpected opportunity to try herself in teaching others. In her spare time, Juliana combines seemingly incompatible things - she has been a member of the girls choir "Virgo" for more than 7 years and actively participates in concert programs. When asked about her dreams, Juliana surprises a bit with her openness: "I would like Pole dance to stop being viewed stereotypical and through a conservative moral prism. And for the world to be happier..."
P.S. the text was written at the beginning of 2019. Today (September 2023) Juliana is still working the same day job, continues to sing and tour with the choir, remains faithful to Pole dancing and is getting better at it every day.
